COVID-19 Volume Drops, Layoffs and Losses for the Moving Industry

Movers are losing volume during the peak of their slowest season causing lay-offs and losses.

The U.S. military freeze on mobility and moving is putting a crunch on the household goods movers in America, but COVID-19 is a self-fulfilling prophesy for Shrinking the Moving Workforce right before the busy Summer Season starts in May. That's assuming that the crisis and shut-downs ease or end before then.
