Cooler heads will hopefully prevail...

Some of the SouthEast and NorthEast states are attempting to place barriers to transit across their state lines in order to minimize an influx of infected travellers. So far these travel restrictions are not directed towards truck traffic.

The very understandable fear of government and citizens alike is becoming manifest in many different State an Federal edicts trying to flatten the curve of the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

It seems that as we sit grounded at home, we see varying examples of selfless acts and stupidity spreading across the television and web news feeds.

I just hope and pray that we think in terms of big picture survival - better to err on the side of caution than have this get further out of control.

Kudos to the politicians on both sides that are being pragmatic - party programming and election year politics be damned.

The foundation of our coming through the other side of this nightmare is our supply chain. Since the need to stay 10 feet apart prevents me from saying 'Hug a Truck Driver,' how about waving and smiling to show your support and understand that your food, medical supplies and moving / relocation depend on their continued performance!

Take care, be safe and wash your hands...
